The Kitchen Disaster

Yesterday was the worst day ever
I burned everything I cooked
There was no way to win the war
No recipes to let me off the hook
The stove in the kitchen would not light
I couldn’t make the meat well done or rare
The lights in the kitchen were so dim.
And the chicken was really bare.
I then tried to attempt dessert
The milk, the chocolate, the crème
No one said not to light the torch
The flames erupted an it wasn’t a dream
As the alarms on the fire trucks sounded
My heart began to race
The kitchen I know and love
Turned into a black and muddy disgrace
I am a world famous cook
Recipes and cooking were my game
I thought I was headed for Iron Chef
But today my talent is lame
Nothing would cooperate with me
Not the lights, not the books, not the meat
The oven was too cold to cook
Everything had me beat!
